here's a joke (if you could call it a joke...) told to me today, courtesy of edwin.

there was once a fish trainer who had a special ability - he could command a fish to move in any direction with just the point of a finger. one day, a man approached this trainer and asked for his guppy to be trained. "alright," said the man, "come back in 2 days". and so after 2 days, the man went back to the trainer. the trainer pointed towards the left, to the right, and finally in the centre. the fish followed suit. "amazing!" exclaimed the man.

the following day, the same man brought a goldfish for training. the trainer enjoyed similar success with the goldfish, but the man was still unsatisfied. "do it in a reservoir," challenged the man. the trainer complied, and brought the goldfish to a reservoir. he pointed towards the left, to the right, to the centre and towards the heavens just for fun. unfortunately, the goldfish, which had jumped very high up, plummeted back down into the reservoir at such a speed that it disappeared forever!

the trainer, saddened by this tragedy, trudged home a guilty person. he went into his toilet, turned on the tap, and guess what came out?















WATER!!!

i wanted to kill edwin after spending 3 whole minutes listening to his 'joke'. grr i was expecting something good from such a long joke. then he played a prank on me. it's a good prank to play on your friends if they are as silly as i am. i don't think it works well with text so i won't bother describing it, and anyway that gives me the chance to play this prank on other people!
